A native New Orleanian, Lee has practiced psychotherapy for over 20 years, working with adults, children and adolescents incividually and in groups. She is intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and is a clinical Hypnotherapist. Her practice is based on client strengths, compassion and the latest scientific findings.
Ms. Hoffman holds Bachelors (SLU) and Masters Of Social Work (LSU) degrees, as well as a Certificate in Child, Family and Couples Therapy from Tulane University School of Social Work. She has served as a full-time teaching faculty member at Tulane University Medical School in the Department of Psychiatry. Ms. McGavran earned her Masters degree in Social Work from Tulane University and became a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor by the Louisiana Board of Social Work Examiners in 2013. She was the first person in the state of Louisiana to be awarded the prestigious certification of Eating Disorder Specialist by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) and additionally achieved the status of Consultant subsequent to that.
Before joining the team at Pelts Kirkhart, Marian was a Program therapist on the Child and Adolescent Unit at River Oaks Psychiatric hospital here in New Orleans. She then joined the nationally renowned Eating Disorders Center there, being promoted to Program Director in 2006. Ms. McGavran remained in this role providing, assessment, treatment and education to many over the next 18 years and chose to pursue full time private practice 2021. Her inpatient hospital experience and part time private practice provided opportunities to: run groups, mentor and consult with other individuals in health and school settings, lecture nationally and give care to those afflicted with behavioral health issues. Her interests include: Relapse Prevention and Motivation Enhancement.

Genie received her MSW from Washington University in St Louis, Mo. in 1987 and has worked extensively with families, adults, adolescents and children throughout her career. Genie has spent the past 32 years providing school based mental health services in the New Orleans area schools. Genie has expertise in working with individuals, both adults and children experiencing a variety of life stressors. She has a passion for working with families who have experienced trauma or grief, especially suicide, death or mental/ physical illness of a family member.
