Leigh Collins, LCSW received her MSW from Tulane University in 1998 and is licensed as a clinical social worker in California and Louisiana. She has many years of experience in individual, family, and group work with adults, teens and children. She has worked as a child therapist at Jewish Family Service of Greater New Orleans and was the Chair of Counseling at Metairie Park Country Day School. She has also worked with college students in the Counseling Department of California State University, Bakersfield (CSUB). Prior to joining the team at Pelts, Kirkhart, and Associates, Leigh taught in the Social Work Department at CSUB. She is the author or Parenting through Illness: Help for Families When a Parent is Seriously Ill (Hohm Press, 2016; with Courtney Nathan).
